William Friedkin and Violent Saturday (1955).

aaaaaj1_003Turns our Mr. Friedkin and I both really like Richard Fleischer’s excellent heist movie Violent Saturday (1955).  He’s featured in the documentary that appears on the new Blu-ray from Twilight Time.

This is a cool, cool movie, people. How many times in this life do you get to see Ernest Borgnine, dressed as an Amish guy, attack Lee Marvin with a pitchfork?

About Toby

I'm a writer. And a dad. And a husband. And a record collector. And a movie geek (if the movies are old). And I really wish I had a hot rod.

  1. Picked up a copy of the DVD from Amazon. Worth every penny just to see Ernest Borgnine spear Lee Marvin in the back with that pitchfork!!
