Happy birthday (tomorrow), William Friedkin. Happy day for Sorcerer fans, too.

William FriedkinGreat article from today’s LA Times. Be sure to read the whole thing.

Sorcerer, Friedkin’s 1977… story of tough guys driving truckloads of high explosives over hellacious South American roads, is very much on Friedkin’s mind these days. In fact, when the festival asked him what films he wanted them to run as part of the tribute, “I asked them to run only that.”

I know William Friedkin loves this site, so if he reads this; Happy Birthday good sir, and thank you for changing how I look at cinema and it’s possibilities (and the new autobiography was a rip-roarin’ read!)… have a great day tomorrow, you’ve more than earned it! I can’t wait to see ‘Sorcerer’ for the first time, and in a show-stoppingly gorgeous new 4k print to boot…but we seriously need to talk about that spring 2014 release of the DVD/Blu-ray, any wiggle room on that…?

Happy Birthday Mr. Friedkin!! Looking forward to see you today at the screening of Sorcerer ( Il salario della paura in italian ) , i didn’t know what i was going to see is indeed a 4k print version of the film!!..It is like Citizen above any suspicions, that’s a 4 k print as well!!..
