Screening: Sorcerer at London’s Roxy Bar and Screen.

Picture 21

The Sorcerer screenings continue, which is always a good thing. This time it’s London. It’ll be Friedkin’s cut, not the butchered version the UK suffered through back in 1977.

Along with the film, Savage Cinema will run two TV shows directed by Friedkin — his “Nightcrawlers” episode of The New Twilight Zone (1986) and “Off Season” (1965), the last episode of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour and Friedkin’s first directorial credit.

They also promise plenty of Tangerine Dream playing before and after the film. Sorry for the short notice.
