A really terrific thing has happened with this blog — you’re sharing your Sorcerer stuff. I’d been wondering what would happen when my supply ran low.
So, thanks to Andy King, here’s William Friedkin with Edgar Froese of Tangerine Dream. Are those the tapes of the Sorcerer score in Friedkin’s lap?
Anybody got a photo of the bridge sequence being shot? That’s what I wanna see!
What an awesome photo!!!!
Interesting blog post about Randy Jurgensen:

Not really a behind the scenes footage, but european cut gives away very much when it comes to bridge scene. It features the footage that shows how brige falls and you can see how little water there really was (reason why original version was cut short). Shot from different angle was also used – when shurb hits the bridge, crane shot is used.
Thanks for the scoop on what’s to be found in the European cut.
I enjoy hearing about the differences, because out of loyalty to Friedkin, I can’t make myself watch anything but his cut (which I consider a near-perfect movie).
The European cut is bad anyway – there are only few more takes that are interesting if you have seen original. Some differences are listed here (German site, Google Translate can help): http://www.schnittberichte.com/schnittbericht.php?ID=4978
